UP Parking is a Real-Time Online Car Parking Location Checking System
University of Phayao has a policy to reduce on-campus parking spaces for safety reasons and to mitigate pollution. The UP Parking system serves as a traffic management tool, addressing the need for highly efficient parking management. By providing real-time visibility into parking availability, it helps drivers avoid circling for spots and ensures that available spaces are utilized to their full potential. This eliminates the need for expanding or constructing additional parking lots. Consequently, internal campus movement shifts toward walking or internal public transportation (the EV UP Bus). This measure allows the university to continuously reduce the number of parking spaces required at various buildings.
