Security System

University of Phayao has a security and traffic agency, especially security work. It is an agency that is under the supervision of fleets of vehicles, Division of Buildings and Facilities, which stippers the Office of the President. Act on securing government assets as well as ensuring the safety of the lives and assets of personnel, students, and visitors, overseeing safety in the overall area of the university, organizing traffic within University of Phayao, organizing security officers by dividing them into university security staff, acting on securing government assets, and organizing traffic systems within University of Phayao. Security guards are placed in place of control over teaching districts and access channels — out at all gates, facilitate traffic management during rush hour at junctions where traffic is heavy, coordinate with police officers in case of arrest of suspects who have been involved in theft on campus, deploy special patrol officers around the campus.

To support security work and respond to the policies and main missions of University of Phayao, the Division of Buildings and Facilities has arranged security officers into 2 shifts, totaling 137 people — Shift 1: 07.00–17.00 hrs., 68 people and Shift 2: 17.00–07.00 hrs., 69 people. Security work carries out special set-up using vehicles with flashing lights to inspect the area, maintain security and prevent any possible incidents within University of Phayao from 6:00 pm to 6:00.

License Plate Reader System

University of Phayao has a system for reading license plates of cars entering and exiting the university, to record the entry and exit information of vehicles and control access to building parking areas. Vehicles with authorized license plate numbers are allowed to access the parking space. License plate readers are installed at the entrance to the university and at the entrance to the building's parking lot.

Security Infrastructure (CCTV and Panic Button)

The university has undertaken a project to install CCTV cameras to monitor the safety of life and property in pedestrian, bicycle paths, road paths and surrounding parking spaces, to enhance security by assigning the security work of vehicles, buildings and premises to be responsible. The CCTV cameras have been installed along with the CCTV control room.

University of Phayao has installed CCTV cameras in the entrance and exit area of all school buildings and has a control room at Division of Buildings and Facilities and buildings within UP as security systems for the benefit of monitoring possible incidents. The system can visualize the event backwards, giving the administrator an idea of the date, time, and location of the event.

The security department has established a radio room as an incident center, a security coordination center, where the 'UP' network is the main tool and uses other communication systems such as telephones as secondary tools.

Security work has provided a fire extinguisher at the security building to use for fire notifications. In case of receiving a report of a fire, special officers, patrol officers, immediately bring the fire extinguisher with the vehicle to the scene so that the incident can be suspended in a timely manner.

Traffic Safety

Security installs slowing vehicles along junctions within University of Phayao along the route to slow down vehicles using speed in traffic routes within UP so that motorists comply with traffic rules to prevent accidents, increase the convenience and safety of route users. SOS Emergency Call System

University of Phayao has been concerned about the staff and students involved in life safety. As a result, outdoor SOS emergency call systems for the outdoors and indoors area, totaling 64 stations, have been installed. The victims can immediately press the button to request assistance from a security guard.

Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

The University of Phayao has installed automated external defibrillators, which are devices that can "read" and "analyze" the patient's ECG accurately, as well as provide treatment and a chance of survival, at 10 locations in various university buildings.

Public Service

University of Phayao provides public services to personnel, students, parents and persons who make contact with the university. Safety and traffic system that meet standards are available for government properties and safety in life and property of personnel, students, school students and persons who make contact with the university, including safety in the overall area of the university. CCTV cameras are installed in university areas as well as emergency buttons and fire extinguishers. In addition, fire evacuation rehearsal and evacuation rehearsal from natural disasters are performed regularly to ensure students and personnel are able to cope with emergency situations efficiently.
