The University regularly organizes learning activities open to youth and the general public. Key examples include:
- The 2025 Regional National Science Week under the theme “Science in Action for Sustainable Community,” held from August 18–20, 2025, to promote learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among youth and the public in Phayao and nearby areas. The event included exhibitions, science demonstrations and experiments, project and invention competitions, science quiz competitions, and robotics competitions. These activities inspired learning, developed analytical thinking and innovation skills, provided broad access to STEM learning for youth, and strengthened collaboration between the University and schools in the province to support sustainable science education development.

During Science Week, the University of Phayao Natural History Museum was also opened as a learning space through exhibitions, experiments, and hands-on workshops such as Jelly DIY, acid–base titration, and activities related to the environment and sustainable development. These activities promoted hands-on learning, STEM skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving, while raising awareness of natural resource conservation and sustainable development and inspiring young people to pursue future studies in science, technology, and innovation.
